Bring “informed intuition” to color-mixing and color strategies for all genres of painting. In this course, we will explore how to use the key characteristics of color to express emotion in our paintings. Each student will create a series of exercises and example paintings that culminate in their own hand-painted, color reference book. This class is intended for painters of all levels and genres.

Scott will give frequent presentations and demonstrations throughout the workshop, each followed by studio time for each student to work on the specific color strategy. This workshop is rich in content - students are sure to leave with a greater appreciation of how color functions in their paintings.

This intermediate-to-advanced painting workshop focuses on developing an abstract language through the exploration of various water-based painting methods.
