WILLIAM PARK: FROM BUCKETS AND BIRDS TO GOLDEN LEAF

7 - 30 April 2022

I was in high school and the paint brush had just been invented. It seemed like something  one could do any number of surprising things with, so I decided to give it a go. WOW!!! It's hard to imagine all the really cool stuff one could do with those bristly things. You can make paint do all sorts of acrobatics slithering across the canvas, jumping up and down, flying through the air, you know, with the greatest of ease. Surprise is where it's at for me. Beauty, too, and the profoundly deep visceral connections I can achieve with the painting process.
